Offer Description
Dynamic features and interaction of micro/nano robots (MNRs) of ZnO-NWs/microcellulose composites against bacteria and cell-lines at different concentrations and time-points will be studied, unraveling new fundamental mechanisms.
The identification and validation of the MNRs antimicrobial activity will be tested by standard microbiological procedures: antibiotic susceptibility testing by agar diffusion method; Minimum-Inhibitory-Concentration (MICs) by broth dilution method; bactericidal activity by Time-kill curve assays.
The evaluation of the biocompatibility of the micro/nanorobots (MNRs) will be assessed by quantifying of the cytotoxicity/proliferating potential on human cell lines.
Further application of advanced in-depth molecular analysis and use of bioinformatic tools will be carried out to evaluate the proposed mechanisms of action and the potential genetic targets.
