The Vilé group at Politecnico di Milano is seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team. Our group focuses on developing new catalytic materials and processes for sustainable energy and chemical production. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with leading researchers in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in the field of heterogeneous catalysis
  • Design, synthesize, and characterize novel catalytic materials
  • Develop and optimize catalytic processes for the production of energy and chemicals
  • Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present results at conferences
  • Mentor and collaborate with junior researchers, including graduate students and research technicians

Skills/Qualifications
  • Strong background in heterogeneous catalysis, including experience with catalytic synthesis and characterization techniques
  • Familiarity with sustainable energy and chemical production processes
  • Proficient in the use of scientific software and instrumentation, including spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and surface analysis
  • Ability to write independently clear and concise scientific reports and manuscripts, and research proposals

Specific Requirements
  • PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on heterogeneous catalysis
  • Strong publication record in relevant journals
  • Proven experience in catalytic synthesis and characterization techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Eligibility criteria

  • Candidates must be able to start the position within the next 6 months
