The School of Chemistry and AMBER, the SFI Research Centre for Advanced Materials and BioEngineering Research, at Trinity College Dublin, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to work with principal investigator Prof. Colm Delaney, on the European Research Council (ERC) project BIO4D, to exploit materials chemistry to harness dynamic and responsive structural colour, through the development of self-ordering nanoparticles and programmed nanoscale 3D printing. The successful candidate will play a significant role in the design, simulation, and fabrication of novel nanocomposite photonic arrays, will report directly to the PI, Prof. Delaney, as well as the other team members, AMBER & Trinity researchers, and external collaborators, as necessary. Additionally, all members of the group will have the opportunity to define and shape their own research within the overall remit of the project. Group members will be encouraged to attend conferences, summer-schools, and secondments at other institutions.
