Offer Description

Applications are invited for the following Post in the Technological University Dublin:

 

Post: Post-Doctoral Researcher - Ad Astra Project (Fixed term specified purpose contract for up to 5 years with funding available for 12 months) (Reference: 202/2024)

 

Location:  The post will be based at one of the TU Dublin Campuses i.e. Grangegorman (Parkhouse), Blanchardstown or Tallaght. The university may consider flexible working arrangements.         

 

Hours of Work: A 37 hour working week is in operation.

 

Salary: The successful candidate will be appointed at point (01) of the Post-Doctoral researcher Salary Scale i.e. €46,447 gross per annum. Remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Incremental credit may apply in line with University policy.

 

Closing Date: 24th May 2024 at 5.00 p.m. (Irish time). Late applications will not be accepted.

 

It is anticipated that interviews for this post will take place 21st June 2024. Please note that this date might likely change. The interview assessment will be 30 minutes in length.

• A PhD or equivalent. (Essential)

 

• Evidence of a research profile and publication record within the requisite subject area. (Essential)

 

• Knowledge of research techniques and methodologies. (Essential)

 

• Commitment to high quality research. (Essential)

 

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their demonstration of meeting every essential criterion so are asked to clearly outline how their experience and qualifications meet the criteria.

 

Desirable

• Evidence of an advanced knowledge and understanding of Composite Materials, Surface Treatment, Adhesive Bonding, and/or Coating Systems. (Desirable)

 

Candidates may be shortlisted on the basis of none, one or more of these desirable criteria and are asked to clearly outline how their experience and qualifications meet the criteria.
