The Purpose of the Role:

This job description is intended as a basic guide to the scope and responsibilities of the position.

The Research Assistant will be a highly motivated and talented researcher who will support the MIDAS Trial manager in the administration of the MIDAS trial, with the support of the PI and Co-PI and project management team. The Research Assistant will support the co-ordination of the study, data collection and entry. This researcher will ideally have experience with a range of research methods, including trials.

The Research Assistant will support the day-to-day administration of the study working closely with the trial manager and the PI (Prof Susan Smith) together with the Co-PI and HRB PCCTNI Director Prof Andrew Murphy. She/he/they will need knowledge of, and skills in, health services research, project management and will need to be able to engage successfully with clinical colleagues in general practice settings. 

Please note that Garda vetting will be sought in respect of individuals who come under consideration for this post.

INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD THE WEEK OF:  4th or 10th June 2024

The successful applicant will be expected to take up post as soon thereafter as possible.
