Full-time position: 0,3 (12 hours per week)

Job description:

  • teaching in the given field of specialization at the level of bachelor's and master's studies
  • serving as a thesis supervisor and as an examiner in committees for state and entrance examinations
  • participation in projects conducted by the Institute of Translation Studies

Skills/Qualifications
  • M.A. or Ph.D. in Linguistics or in Translation Studies
  • native-speaker level of German language (C2 level) with excellent theoretical and practical knowledge of German grammar and stylistics enabling conducting and leading seminars aimed at improving the spoken and written German of non-native speakers
  • experience in translation between German and Czech enabling conducting and leading seminars focused on translation of texts mainly of technical and journalistic nature from Czech into German
  • expression, communication and presentation skills in German
  • experience in editing and revising texts written by non-native speakers of German
  • teaching experience (previous teaching in translation/interpreting is welcome)
