CPS1201H Human Neuropsychology

Course description:

This course will provide students with an introduction to the principles of human neuropsychology. This includes an overview of brain-behaviour relationships and neuroanatomy, the effects of psychotropic drugs on the brain and cognition, neurological and neurobehavioural disorders, and the assessment and treatment of classic neuropsychological syndromes.

Qualifications: Successful candidates must have completed their Ph.D. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of clinical neuropsychology, structural and functional neuroimaing and human brain anatomy along with neuropsychopharmacology, as it pertains to brain-behaviour relationships extending from basic sensation and perception to higher-level cognitive functions, emotions, and social behaviours in adult and senior clinical populations.

Duties:  Duties include delivery of all course components including, for example, lectures, hosting and moderating student presentations and discussions, delivery and/or submission of assignments and exams. Lectures are scheduled on Mondays.

Salary:
Sessional Lecturer I - $9457.90 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) | Sessional Lecturer I Long Term - $9930.79 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) | Sessional Lecturer II - $10121.77 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE) | Sessional Lecturer III - $10362.76 inclusive of vacation pay (0.5 FCE)
