About the Opportunity:

VU is seeking expressions of interest for TAFE teachers within the Community services and Early Childhood Department. Candidates must demonstrate current industry experience as: 

  • Mental Health Practitioner 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching classes in the Cert 4 Mental Health
  • Preparing class content materials including case studies, problem-based learning scenarios, and delivering classes online and on campus at various locations
  • Competency-based assessment and student evaluation including industry placement support

About You:

You Must Have:

  • TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 with upgrade units TAELLN411 and TAEASS502.
  • A qualification within a relevant sector.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Minimum 1 year working experience within the last 5 years in the industry and willingness to share experience and knowledge within classroom setting.
  • Excellent communication skills and flexible attitude.
  • Relevant skills in Microsoft office, databases and record keeping.
  • Current police check valid within 6 months.
