Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join Digital Business Solution, Administrative Division.

This role is a core role within the Education and Research portfolio, responsible for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a complex landscape of business-critical solutions in the delivery of QUT's Digital Strategy. This role will work in partnership with QUT colleagues, clients, vendor partners, development teams, projects and other IT professionals to ensure business processes, system configurations, services and solutions are aligned to achieve maximum efficiency and value to enhance QUT’s education and research environments.

What you need to succeed

  • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards postgraduate qualifications) and extensive relevant experience, preferably in the area of client support in the education sector.
  • High level analytical, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify emerging issues, trends and opportunities to provide insightful recommendations and drive practical, data driven, innovative solutions that achieves organisational goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability in the coordination of IT Service management practices across teams and the management of SaaS solution environments, including evaluation of release notes, stakeholder communication, risk and change management activities, and recommendations for continuous service improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships, collaborate, negotiate, influence and gain commitment from a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, contribute to projects, and to work autonomously with limited supervision, displaying initiative and creativity to achieve outcomes.
  • Strong technical knowledge of current and emerging trends in education and research technologies with an ability to operationally apply knowledge within a large and complex organisation.
