About the role:

The Senior Officer, Student Engagement supports the design, planning and implementation of strategies and programs which contribute to improved transition, retention, support, progression and success of students within the Faculty of Business and Law. This includes Orientation/Induction, Enrolment/Course Info sessions, Student Peer Mentor Programs, Student Helping Student initiatives, social activities, competitions, conferences, and leadership programs.

As a Senior Officer, Student Engagement you will:

  • Support the design, planning and implementation of programs and strategies which are aimed to increase student engagement and overall success.
  • Provide support for students and host organisations to engage students in a range of competitions, conferences and professional activities.
  • Provide administrative support for the Student Experience and Engagement Committee and liaise regularly with faculty endorsed Student Societies to support their activities.
  • Participate in faculty-wide projects and any other duties relating to student support.
  • Aim for excellence by building productive relationships and consulting regularly with a diverse range of stakeholders.

 To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • The capability to deliver presentations to student audiences in various formats, including online and face-to-face settings.
  • Administrative experience working within a large organisation with formal administrative structures, policies and procedures, preferably in a tertiary educational institution.
