  • Remuneration: Level 9 $138,171 - $146,613 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading

Why Your Role Matters:

The Senior Finance Analyst position is located within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A. In this role you will be one of 4 high performing analysts responsible for the consolidated plans, forecasts and results, analysis and reporting for a portfolio of Faculties and Divisions across UNSW.

This is an opportunity to work with senior leaders and collaborate with professionals University wide.

Who You Are:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) and relevant professional sector experience.
  • Substantial experience in core and complex financial management and financial control processes, insight driven analysis and modelling, providing actionable operational advice and delivering financial services in a complex organisation.
  • Proven experience in working autonomously and proactively to identify and deliver innovative insights and models to drive business performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly absorb information and utilise it to analyse, interpret and integrate ambiguous and complex data.
  • Strong audience appropriate communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills and demonstrated ability to communicate complexity, inform, persuade and negotiate successfully with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced working knowledge of analytical tools, in particular, a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and its application in financial modelling and analysis as well as computer applications, enterprise systems, and the delivery of reports and presentations.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, work independently with effectiveness, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative and resolve complex problems as they arise.
