  • Salary $117,116 - $132,079 plus 17% superannuation   

About the opportunity 

An exciting opportunity to join the high-impact Research Infrastructure team within the Research Portfolio. As the Project Manager (Research Infrastructure Projects), you will ensure implementation of the infrastructure services associated with the University's Core Research Facilities (CRF) & Research Service Units (RSUs). You will provide overall project management and act as an interface between a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. 

 

Your key responsibilities will be to: 

 

  • manage Research Readiness organisation and establishment to deliver infrastructure services supporting installation of research equipment  
  • manage the development and implementation of Research Readiness plans to deliver capability-supporting infrastructure projects  
  • develop and embed a project governance and reporting framework to monitor implementation, progress and delivery of your projects  
  • manage diverse project stakeholders and collaborate with project teams to ensure that project deliverables and milestones are achieved  
  • monitor project financials against budget with a focus on maximising value for the University and Research Infrastructure. 

 

About you 

 

  • tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (engineering, science etc.) and/or extensive experience with capital works and/or construction projects management  
  • experience working in the higher education sector or within a multi-faceted, complex organization 
  • experience project managing multiple work streams, or leading large, complex projects 
  • strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills 
  • financial management experience with the ability to manage project budgets 
  • excellent communication skills with sound negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
