About the Launch Pad
Launch Pad works across entrepreneurship education, start-up acceleration and industry innovation. Launch Pad supports entrepreneurs and businesses by providing modern collaborative work and meeting space, specialist business advice, mentoring, events, networking, training, and education. Clients work within a highly collaborative environment with other technology-focused entrepreneurs and businesses, leading to problem-solving, sharing expertise, and experience.

About the Role 
The Community and Operations Officer will provide operational, coordination and community engagement support across all areas of entrepreneurship education, start-up accelerator and industry innovation. It is beneficial to understand concepts and frameworks such as lean start-up, design thinking, business model canvas and technology innovation. The position will support Western Sydney University students and non-student founders to develop their opportunities from ideation to launch.

The role requires building and managing a strong community of entrepreneurs and technology and innovation-focused businesses with the facilitation of collaboration both through planned interactions and the enabling of casual collisions. By leading a team of Western student casuals, the position will coordinate delivery and facilitation of structured curriculum and mentoring support through a range of workshops, masterclasses, networking events, founder talks, pitch sessions and expert speaker presentations. This role will also coordinate digital and communication software tools for project management, social media, newsletter, CRM database and reporting by interacting with a range of university and external partners including mentors, investors, potential customer’s, students, researchers and academics.

This position will be predominantly based in the Parramatta City Campus 2 (6 Hassall St) and Bankstown City Campus with the occasional need to travel to other Western Sydney University Campuses.

This is a full-time, fixed term position until 31st December 2024

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 6 $103,879 to $111,343 p.a. (comprising Salary of $87,779 to $94,086 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
