  • Full-time secondment/fixed term contract until 31 December 2025
  • Commencement salary: $108,351 per annum plus 17% superannuation

We are seeking a Project Manager to contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University. You will work for the University of South Australia and be based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) in the Corporate Finance Domain.

About the Domain

The Integration Management Office (IMO) has established functional areas which are referred to as Domains. Each Domain is responsible for executing tasks and producing deliverables that are crucial to the establishment of the new Adelaide University.

The Corporate and Finance Domain focuses on the transformation and integration of finance and corporate services (Go to Market, Risk, Assets & Infrastructure, Planning & Analytics and Legal) into the new university. More concretely, the domain will support the setup and transition of the new processes, policies, systems, organisation & governance and reporting of Finance and Corporate Services for Adelaide University.

About the role

As the Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of various projects related to the creation of the new Adelaide University. Working as part of the IMO, which will oversee the integration and transformation to establish the new university, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams both within UniSA and The University of Adelaide, managing project resources, and ensuring projects are delivered within scope, schedule, and budget.  

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables
  • Identify and allocate the necessary resources to execute projects efficiently and effectively
  • Lead and motivate project teams, providing clear direction, setting performance expectations, and fostering a collaborative environment
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact on project timelines and outcomes
  • Budget oversight and quality assurance

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Excellent project management skills with a proven record of successfully managing all aspects of large-scale and complex projects through to completion
  • Relevant tertiary qualification together with extensive project management experience and highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and work in collaboration with other teams
  • Highly developed relationship management and consulting skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing several finance and/or other corporate services projects is desirable
  • Experience working as a chartered accountant is desirable
