  • Base Salary $135,820 - $143,310 + 17% superannuation 


 


 


About the Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Portfolio 


 
The Provost is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational delivery of our academic objectives. This includes ensuring a continued focus on outstanding academic performance and scholarship, strategic planning and sound financial management through the faculties, University schools, centres, and other academic units. The Provost is responsible for ensuring a high-performance culture across all faculties and University schools that enables research, education, community engagement and innovation to flourish. 


 


About the opportunity 


 


As the Project and Engagement Manager, you will develop, deliver, and manage an innovative and comprehensive internal engagement program that supports the communication and delivery of strategic objectives for the Office of Provost & Deputy Vice-Chancellor with the wider university community.  


 


You will leverage your expertise in delivering key engagement projects and programs of work to support the Office of Provost & Deputy Vice Chancellor to develop strategic engagement plans and improve and maintain communication on strategic and BAU activities with key stakeholders from Faculties and Schools. 


 


 


Your key responsibilities will be to: 


 


  • work within a dynamic team, reporting to the Associate Director


  • establish and manage project plans for strategic engagement projects and initiatives, including project structure, governance, and key performance indicators 

  • engage and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across the University to ensure ongoing achievement of key project/initiative objectives 

  • build strong rapport and business relationships with Faculties, Portfolios and Professional Service Units to keep currency with critical priorities and modify project plans where needed 

  • plan and manage the development and delivery of communications for the Office of the Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor  

  • proactively promote and champion this program of work across the University and ensure that it aligns with the expectations and priorities of the OPDVC and Faculty and School stakeholders.


 


 


About you 


 


  • tertiary qualifications and/or relevant work experience in a related field 

  • demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, evaluate, and adapt strategic engagement initiatives in a changing higher education and industry environment 

  • experience project managing multiple work streams or working in large complex projects and ability to work according to strict deadlines and adapt to changing expectations 

  • demonstrated experience managing a diverse group of key internal/external stakeholders on large or complex projects 

  • sound understanding and consistent application of project management competencies including scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, cost, risk, procurement and integration 

  • excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
