The Opportunity
Join the Education Innovation Team within the Faculty of Engineering as an Educational Developer to assist in the implementation and evaluation of teaching methods, technologies and techniques developed by the faculties and the Pro Vice-Chancellor Education & Student Experience Portfolio.
At UNSW, new educational initiatives are constantly being developed in the PVCESE (Pro Vice-Chancellor Education & Student Experience Portfolio) for implementation in the Faculties and Schools, while many innovations introduced by individual academics, Schools and Faculties have potential for institution-wide application. The PVCESE portfolio is UNSW Sydney’s education and student experience hub, providing University-wide support and resources to staff and student communities.
The Nexus Program is providing a critical missing link between organisational units at UNSW, connecting faculties to each other and to the PVCESE to develop and implement co-ordinated solutions to challenges in education and student experience. Through the recruitment of education-related staff distributed throughout UNSW’s Sydney and Canberra-based schools, Nexus Program provides the Schools and Faculties with extra capacity to enable widespread implementation of educational initiatives. Additionally, it provides a mechanism for educators to contribute to and provide feedback on centrally developed education programs.
