PRIMARY DETAIL

THE ROLE

The Health & Fitness Instructor role requires you to be customer focused at all times. Use your industry expertise and training to provide service to our members in a professional and timely manner. In addition to gym floor shifts where you’ll have access to a growing membership base, if desired you’ll have the additional opportunity to build a prosperous Personal Training client base.

Duties

  • Drive excellence in member engagement through exceptional customer service.
  • Deliver premium group training sessions, health consultations, program design, and gym etiquette instruction.
  • Perform cleaning duties as required, report maintenance issues, basic administration via CRM software.
  • Assist with Personal Training/Program enquiries and any minor member complaints.
  • Available for open or close shifts and a minimum monthly commitment to weekend shifts.

Skills & experience

  • Certificate IV in Fitness/Personal Training or recognised tertiary education equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Fitness Instructor with a proven ability of high-level exercise prescription, small group training, and personal training.
  • Additional accreditation in specialised programming/training desirable but not essential.
  • Exercise Professional Registration.

This role requires a Working with Children Check, current First Aid & CPR. Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.

About Us

Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre (MUSAC) is a multi-purpose venue. Located at Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde, our facility includes a heated indoor and outdoor pool, fully equipped health club, group fitness classes, squash courts, multi-purpose sports halls, gymnastics hall and 4 professional playing fields that cater for various university and community-based programs.
