  • Base Salary $95K + 17% superannuation 

About the opportunity

We have a fantastic and unique opportunity for an experienced and proactive Executive Assistant with an events background. As the Executive Assistant, you will provide the full suite of executive support services, ensuring the specific needs and day to day requirements of the Executive Director, External Engagement are managed in a highly efficient and effective manner. Alongside your executive assistance expertise, your events coordination skills will be deployed encompassing responsibilities such as manage all events’ communications, organise visual aid for presentations, liaise with relevant University functions for event delivery and oversee the events.

About you

  • proven experience in a similar role with wide-ranging diplomacy, event management and executive administration experience
  • strong analytical and communication skills, to influence key internal and external stakeholders within the University community
  • proven ability to be flexible, adapt to changing circumstances and environments and navigate through ambiguity
  • proven ability to conceptualise, develop, implement and review objectives and strategies involving high level liaison with internal and external client areas
  • highly developed stakeholder management skills and professionalism in collaborating with senior leadership
  • excellent ability to think strategically, anticipate trends and provide high level advice
  • an agile and flexible approach that is able to pivot and contribute to overall team success.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
