  • Base Salary HEO5, $83,384 - $93,362 p.a. + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Faculty of Engineering are welcoming applications for an Education Support Assistant to join the team and provide a broad range of educational administrative and operational support to meet the needs of the work area.

The successful candidate will be expected to support and deliver student engagement initiatives and activities as part of the Student Life team.  

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including students, clubs and societies, staff and central teams to deliver on student engagement programs.

  • organise and support the delivery of a range of events and programs such as Welcome Week, peer mentoring programs and many more. This will involve managing logistics and communications

  • develop and deliver the Engineering Student Newsletter (fortnightly), liaising with relevant staff to develop content

  • actively contribute to a team environment that fosters and develops effective working relationships

  • evaluate current student programs in order to provide meaningful trend analysis for reporting purposes

  • support students and respond to enquiries in a timely manner.

About you

  • a bachelor's degree in a relevant field

  • demonstrated experience or exposure to event management

  • strong written and verbal communications skills coupled with excellent computer literacy

  • the ability to work independently or in a team environment

  • at least two years education administrative experience (desired).
