About the opportunity

The Business Analyst will effectively engage with stakeholders to capture requirements, document existing and new processes. This position will support the lifecycle of the Financial Planning, Analytics & Commercial team’s reporting and planning projects by leading the tasks of requirements gathering, report wireframes, the writing and execution of testing scripts, rollout, and support. The scope of Business Analyst activities will include overarching business processing together with underlying datasets.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • liaise with stakeholders to gather, document, implement and deliver requirements across Financial reporting projects
  • identify data lineage and data ownership from effective process analysis
  • coordinate UAT and the development of test plans to ensure that dashboards and reporting are delivered in line with University Business Intelligence standards
  • ensure that business requirements are effectively translated into the functional specifications document
  • lead workshops and meetings with project and stakeholder teams.

About you

  • minimum 5 years exp as a business analyst or similar role working on finance reporting projects
  • ability to analyse and critically evaluate data from multiple sources and track the journey of data flows
  • experience in process mapping and with business process flows
  • experience with change management
  • strong stakeholder management and presentation abilities
  • ability to work across simultaneous projects and manage conflicting deadlines.
