Our innovative evidence-based nursing courses prepare students to become competent healthcare professionals, equipped to meet the evolving needs of diverse populations.  As an Associate Professor of Nursing, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the quality of nursing education and contributing to the academic and professional development of our students. You will lead curricula development and innovation, engage in scholarly research, and provide mentorship and leadership within the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences.


There is an expectation of an Associate Professor to also undertake a governance role within the School as required.

Position Requirements

 

  • Lead the development, review, and enhancement of nursing curricula, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and mentorship to undergraduate nursing students, using innovative pedagogical approaches and technologies to facilitate active learning and critical thinking.
  • Engage in scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed journals, with a focus on nursing education, evidence-based practice, and/or clinical outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to colleagues, supporting their professional growth and fostering a culture of excellence in teaching, research, and service.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community partners to promote interprofessional education and collaborative practice opportunities for nursing students.
  • Contribute to the accreditation and continuous quality improvement processes within the nursing courses, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
