Key responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching: Lead the design and delivery of an innovative learner-centric programmatic assessment system for the MD Program in consultation with the Program Convenor and Director, AME.
  • Collaborate with professional and course teams to develop effective practices for the delivery of assessment tasks and feedback, including the use of digital assessment tools and systems, and/or other relevant technologies that efficiently collate assessment information for analysis and monitoring of student progress.
  • Support the Director, AME, and Medical Dean to ensure that assessment strategies meet such standards as required by relevant regulatory or accrediting bodies, including but not limited to the Australian Medical Council.
  • Research: Foster the development of a scholarly approach to learning and assessment that enables the transfer of evidence-informed knowledge into curriculum design at the UQ Medical School and beyond.
  • Review and draw upon best practice research methodologies in assessment design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Undertake independent and/or team research aligned to the AME SoTL priority areas that are innovative, subject to peer review, and/or lead to quality research outputs.
  • Supervision and Researcher Development: Engage in higher degree supervision with a record of achievement in supervision outcomes.
  • Citizenship and Service: Consistently demonstrate behaviours that align to the UQ values.
  • Contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and culturally safe workplace and learning environment.
