About the Role 

The Associate Lecturer position with the University of Melbourne’s Centre for Youth Mental Health and Orygen's Knowledge Translation Division focuses on enhancing Australia's youth mental health workforce by integrating expertise and innovation. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to our graduate education activities, which are aimed at improving the lives of young people with mental health issues by optimising the skills and knowledge of the wide range of professionals who work with them.  

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Contributing to the design and development of higher education curricula, resources, products and services. 
• Independently coordinating a number of subjects to ensure the successful ongoing delivery of graduate online programs at the Centre for Youth Mental Health. 
• Preparing and delivering online learning content for graduate students, including live seminars. 
• Providing student feedback and formally assessing student coursework. 
• Managing and maintaining the online learning system through which subjects are delivered. 

Who We Are Looking For 

The successful candidate will excel in youth mental health practice, teaching, and online education, with strong communication, organisational, and collaboration skills. 

You will also have: 

• A Masters degree in clinical psychology, occupational therapy, mental health nursing, social work, or a cognate discipline. 
• A demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate training and educational activities for the mental health workforce. 
• Experience in youth mental health clinical practice, including assessment, case formulation and intervention.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case where the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
