About you (Skills, Capabilities and Experience)

The Academic Registrar provides strategic leadership and oversight of academic administration, student records and management, and compliance across the University. Working closely with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education, and as a trusted advisor to the University’s Leadership Group, they will lead a team of over 200 staff overseeing the University’s adherence to accreditation standards, regulatory requirements and institutional policies, while fostering a culture of academic excellence and student success.

Able to reflect on a career across academic and student administration, candidates will demonstrate the ability to interpret complex Higher Education policy and governance, whilst quickly commanding the respect of academic and professional colleagues for being fair, equitable and consistent. Candidates will also exhibit an appropriate record of senior education leadership and management experience commensurate with being part of a high-performing university leadership team. Outstanding communication skills and an objective approach to decision making are essential, as is the ability to influence, inspire, and exercise sound and consistent judgment in a dynamic environment.

Term and remuneration

The successful candidate will be offered a continuing position.

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.
