Established in 1991, ECU has grown rapidly into a quality university that produces research at exacting international standards. This has been recognised with a place in the inauguralTimes Higher Education 100 Under 50 list, which focuses on the best universities under the age of 50 years.
With around 18,000 undergraduates and 6,000 postgraduates, our programs provide real world training to those starting their careers and those who want to take their careers to a new level or in a new direction.

The University offers on-campus accommodation at all three campuses. We also assist students in finding off-campus housing through the Off-Campus Housing Service.
Student villages at the Joondalup, Mount Lawley and South West Campuses are managed by student accommodation company Campus Living Villages. The villages consist of multi-room units with shared self-catering facilities and provide a modern, friendly environment.
All villages are located on-campus and close to all campus facilities. Local shops and sport and recreation facilities are within walking distance or easily accessible by public transport.
Student Health Service:
ECU Student Health Services are located at the Joondalup and Mount Lawley Campuses. They provide general practitioner (GP), nurse and allied health services to assist students with their health care needs.

- sports medicine;
- diving and pre-employment medicals;
- vaccinations and immunisations;
- contraception advice and pregnancy testing;
- blood tests;
- nursing; and
- physiotherapy (Mt Lawley).
All consultations occurring within the Student Health Services are strictly confidential.
Student Sport and Fitness:
Modern, fully-equipped sports, recreation and fitness centres are located on the Joondalup, Mount Lawley and Bunbury Campuses. Our students and staff are offered discounted gym memberships and can participate in night team sports, intervarsity sport, the Australian University Games, sporting clubs and sporting trips.
Shops & Food:
From a coffee on the run to a substantial meal, the University offers a wide range of food and beverage options on each campus. Each campus features one or several cafes which offer coffee, snacks and meals. The taverns at the Mount Lawley and Joondalup Campuses also provide alcoholic beverages and light meals.
All venues have wireless internet, allowing you to study while you eat.
