FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg will be hosting the Empatho-Kinaesthetic Sensory Systems - EmpkinS - Empathokinästhetische Sensorik) Collaborative Research Center funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - German Research Foundation.
EmpkinS will investigate novel sensor and data transmission technology, as well as functional models of the human body. We will link the external measurements and the body’s internal status to investigate "states" of humans with respect to medicine and psycholoy. With 19 exciting subprojects, 24 interdisciplinary principal investigators, and 30 newly hired researchers working within the center, EmpkinS will provide a globally visible research environment.
