Scholarship information

Selected students will receive a one-time $1,000 scholarship.

The student will also have the option to participate in the Community Mentor Program. Participating in the Community Mentor Program is not a requirement to receiving the $1,000 scholarship. If students chose to participate in the Community Mentor Program, they will receive guidance and support in selecting a mentor of their choice. Potential mentors will either be working in the community or a first-generation Watts College faculty member with experience in the student’s field of study.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an incoming undergraduate student transferring from a community college within Arizona. You must be a student of Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions. The schools within Watts College include School of Social Work, Criminology and Criminal Justice, Public Affairs, Community Resources and Development. Additional criteria: 

Applicants must be a transfer student, an Arizona resident, and transferring from a community college within Arizona. Applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours for the upcoming semester. Preference will be given to first-generation students. You must be a student within Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions.
