University of Calgary (UCalgary) awards 1 yearlong residential fellowship for postdoctoral scholars research in the Humanities. The Calgary Institute for the Humanities (CIH) promotes research in a broad range of Humanities areas of study. Fellows will carry out research for 12 months at UCalgary, located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. They will be provided with workspace and access to UCalgary's Libraries and Cultural Resources (LCR). Fellows will work on and share their research at a seminar. Fellows will be expected to give a public lecture while at the institute and to participate in the community of scholars at the institute.


Eligibility & Requirements

Must hold doctorate or equivalent qualification for at least 2 years. Awards are primarily intended for scholars on sabbatical or release-time leaves to provide opportunity for a research visit to the Institute. Preference will be given to candidates whose work could be well supported at the UCalgary and it is of value to more than 1 academic area. CV. Research proposal. 3 references. Applications are especially invited from scholars of established reputation.
