The Department of Laboratory Medicine serves as a regional resource for clinical laboratory services required for patient care, research and educational programs in laboratory medicine. Laboratory Medicine's Virology Division has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time, temporary/hourly, day shift, UW WORK STUDY STUDENT ASSISTANT in support of the WA State COVID-19 Serosurvey.

This survey will be conducted across the state, Washingtonians will be randomly selected to complete a questionnaire and provide specimens in order to determine the percentage of the population who have COVID-19, as well as learn more about immunologic factors associated with SARS-CoV-2. The UW Virology Division is one of nine divisions comprising the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the University of Washington. The UW Virology Clinical Laboratories perform diagnostic testing for a full range of human pathogens including Herpes group, HIV, hepatitis, respiratory, and enteric viruses.
