UPLIFT supports postdoctoral scholars in basic and applied biomedical life sciences and biochemistry who have a demonstrated interest in teaching, research, and supporting diversity in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. UPLIFT combines a traditional mentored postdoctoral research experience with an opportunity to develop academic skills, including teaching, with pedagogical training provided through workshops and courses, as well as faculty mentored teaching assignments at UCLA's partner institution, California State University Los Angeles (CSULA).
