Position Summary:
The Franklin Pierce University (FPU) Student Social Media Ambassadors are current Franklin Pierce University students selected on the basis of leadership, professionalism and desire to promote Franklin Pierce University to prospective applicants and their families, as well as schools and community organizations throughout the region.
The position is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student recruitment and yield efforts. Ambassadors uphold the philosophy, mission and goals of Franklin Pierce University and serve as personal examples of student life on campus.
Up to seven (7) undergraduate Student Social Media Ambassadors will be selected via a competitive application and interview process. What you can expect from participation in the Ambassadors Program:
• The opportunity to work with staff and other student leaders to advance the FPU’s outreach and recruitment goals.
• The opportunity to strengthen your skills with written communication, as well as teamwork and leadership skills.
• The opportunity to contribute to social media on key topics that prospective students and parents would be interested in knowing.
• Work experience to add to your résumé.
Compensation is set at $8.00 per hour.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Must be a full time student at FPU with a 2.5 Minimum GPA
- Have a minimum of four (5) hours per week to devote to the program;
- Ability to effectively communicate your Raven pride to others
- Professional work habits (dependable, reliable, team player, willingness to learn).
- Willingness to perform social media ambassador duties for fall, and spring semesters.
- Willingness to maintain professional standards of language and behavior in all blog posts
Ambassador Responsibilities:
- Photography skills a plus.
- Participate in assigned activities, events and tasks
