Summary

This Student Helper will be working under the guidance of a postdoctoral fellow to perform genetic experiments using Drosophila melanogaster to study the function of TM2D family genes in the nervous system. 


Job Duties
  • Assists with:
    • fly husbandry,
    • genetic crosses,
    • scoring phenotypes,
    • dissection of Drosophila brain,
    • immunostaining
    • ]confocal imaging related to the project.
  • Assists with several molecular biological techniques, such as:
    • molecular cloning,
    • site-directed mutagenesis,
    • Sanger sequencing related to this project

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience required.
