Summary
The Fetal Imaging Research Group works in collaboration with Texas Children’s Hospital Pavilion for Women. We focus on maternal and fetal imaging and health. We are seeking a part-time Student Helper to provide research support for an NIH funded R01 grant in the areas of OB/Gyn and neonatology. The position includes working hands-on with neonates and data collation.
Job Purpose
Student Helpers provides services to a department on a temporary basis while gaining professional experience.
Job Duties
- Complete training with neonatal team on neonatal follow-up and biometric measurements.
- Responsible for neonatal biometric measurements for study patients on Saturday and Sunday.
- Provide assistance with data collection for GRACE Study, using REDCap database and EMR.
- Attend project meetings when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
- No experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work/patient interaction with neonates or in pediatrics.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in a health-related field.
- Ability to work within a team of healthcare professionals.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, efficient, and strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in accepting work assignments with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, understand processes, and resolve issues.
