Summary

The Student Helper for Web Development will assist other CCIT developers in building and maintaining the Center’s portfolio of web and applications, infrastructure, and other technical products.  This position will take direction from the Assistant Director and other senior software developers, as assigned.  To ensure success, the candidate should possess a willingness to learn both from other developers as well as outside resources, accept constructive feedback on work products, and strive to complete projects on time and with attention to detail.


Job Duties
  • Assists the technical team in all aspects of development of web sites and web and mobile applications.
  • Assists the technical team in maintenance of web sites and web and mobile applications.
  • Assists the technical team in development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborates with other developers to develop and test software products.
  • Researches and assesses new technologies and methodologies.
  • Develops, maintains, and enters website content, such as images, video, and text.
  • Uses user feedback and testing results to identify problems and opportunities in the Center’s technical projects.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience with Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails, or another similar web framework.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Flexibility in the workplace.
  • Willingness to learn and accept feedback and instruction.
  • Goal-oriented and deadline driven outlook.
