This position is for a Finance/ Accounting assistant for Financial Aid Services
Student Service Assistants provide office support to Student Financial Center (SFC) staff as they serve students, families, and staff in the areas of billing, financial aid, and scholarships. The Student Service Assistants will also provide personalized customer service to the SFC clients and visitors. These services may include answering Tier 1 emails, phone calls, and in person inquiries about university billing, federal financial aid, scholarships, and payroll distribution.
Required Education: Must be currently enrolled as a student at the University of Oklahoma as a sophomore or higher in standing. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
Must attach Summer and/or Fall 2019 class schedule
Must have completed 30 credit hours and submitted the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
Must be currently enrolled in 12 hours for the Fall 2019 Term
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to write clear, concise letters using effective writing skills.
- Sensitive to cultural diversity and ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and identities.
- Ability to meet expectations in a fast-paced and dynamic, customer-oriented environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Student pursuing Finance, Accounting, Gender Studies, Business or similar degree programs.
Advertised Physical Requirements:
Frequent and repetitive arm and wrist movement. Ability to lift, push and pull objects up to 25 lbs, depending on job assignment. Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, as necessary, and depending on job assignment, occasionally to frequently. This will be determined by employee's assignment.
