Serves as a student event specialist. This is a student position which encompasses customer services, AV support for clients, room set ups, beverage services and opening/closing buildings. This position assists with special projects for the building and conference services throughout the year. This position will work around the student's class schedule but work hours may vary from nights, weekends and some holidays.

Required Education: Must be currently enrolled as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

Certifications:


  •  Food Handler's Permit must be acquired within 5 days of employment

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods
  • Ability to lift (15-50 lbs) including using the upper body to raise objects from a lower position to a higher position
  • Ability to crouch, crawl, bend or stoop including times of uncomfortable positions to accomplish a task
  • Ability to walk and be on feet for extended amounts of time and go up and down stairs/ladder
  • Ability to speak including expressing oneself or exchanging information with others
  • Ability to see color, depth perception or clarity
  • Possible exposure to disagreeable conditions at times with extreme temperatures changes, odors and loud noises    

 Department Preferences:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Audio Visual technology and equipment
  • Must be flexible and ability to handle last minute changes
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and work independently
