Department Description | The UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, one of the top ranked public health schools in the nation, is comprised of eight academic units led and supported by the Dean’s Office and other large, centrally administrated school units. We have an enrolled student body of over 1600, taught by approximately 230 permanent faculty, and > 100 adjunct and visiting faculty. The staff includes over 600 personnel of various types (including students and temporary workers) who help to achieve the teaching, research and service missions of the School and also to assist with compliance, finance, IT, fundraising and communication. |

Position Description | The Student Awards and Funding Coordinator oversees management of current and prospective student funding, serving as liaison between the Gillings Advancement office, Finance office, Office of Student Affairs, departments and units, the University’s Office of Scholarships and Student Aid, and Graduate School Awards office to ensure the proper management, delivery and reporting on current awards. He/she counsels current and prospective students to help them identify internal and external scholarship opportunities; communicates award guidelines, processes and deadlines with the school; manages the schoolwide selection committee; and coordinates award notification and donor stewardship process. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |

Preferred Qualifications | • Bachelor s degree in related area or equivalent of two years’ experience/training. • Strong understanding of FAFSA rules/regulations & legalities surrounding student funding issues. |
