Job Duties
- Good customer service skills
- Help with faculty, staff, and students who come into the office for assistance
- Use Microsoft Office to prepare and update documents with focus on Word and Excel
- Pick up daily, open, and sort incoming mail
- Responsible for filing, copying, faxing, and scanning documents
- Book library rooms
- Answer a multi-line telephone
- Help organize the office supplies for the library
- Help with various projects throughout the year such as holiday cards, weeding files, etc.
- Run various errands on-campus
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
HOURS: Must be available to work between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on most days of the week Monday – Friday.  Preferably 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. on most days of the week Monday – Friday.
TYPE OF STUDENT POSITIONS: Work Study and Student Assistant. This position is for both.

- Able to use Internet Browsers Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer
- Experience with Microsoft Office (with a focus on Word and Excel)
- Must be able to type at least 40 wpm
- Must have telephone etiquette
- Must be professional at all times
- Must be willing to learn new responsibilities
- The work schedule is subject to change to cover the office during meetings
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs
- Must wear appropriate attire in an office setting

Work Hours Preferably 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (may be flexible); additional work hours as needed; 14 hours max per week

1. Student Assistant: any undergraduate full time student can apply
2. Work Study Student Assistant: in general this is approved by Financial Aid, and will show in your Banner Account. If you’re not sure if you are eligible, please check with Financial Aid.
The library is looking for both types of student workers.
