Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Student Assistant for the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology within the School of Public Health.  Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Student Assistant will help with the Principal Investigator’s research project on biomedical data. The Student Assistant will work on algorithm development and data analysis in this research project. 
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  •  Prepares and analyzes biomedical data using R.
  • Develops statistical analysis/learning methods and algorithms.
  • Reports and discusses research progress in an organized and timely manner.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Must be a current Rutgers student.
  • Must have appropriate statistics training and experience and knowledge in basic statistical and machine learning methods. 
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be familiar with R programming. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with prediction modeling.
