Position Summary:       

The Chinese Jewish Conversation (CJC) is seeking a qualified YU graduate student who can help the administration department with the program, which is now mostly online.

This offer is contingent upon the University resuming normal campus activity. During the current Covid-19 pandemic, the University reserves all rights to cancel or delay all student employment. If the position is cancelled, no salary payments will be made. If the position is delayed, the salary will be pro-rated, as appropriate.

Position Responsibilities:

The work, will include ( but not limited to):

  • reviewing and assisting in the translation of our periodic blog posts in Chinese about Jewish culture
  • reaching out to other Chinese students at YU to encourage them to learn more about Jewish culture through our blog
  • to plan online activities sponsored by the CJC

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Must be a YU graduate student

Skills & Competencies:

  • Must be fluent in Chinese-Mandarin
  • Strong communication abilities in person and in writing 
  • Familiarity with Chinese social media and video platforms, such as WeChat, BiliBili, etc.
