: Part-time
Work Schedule: Varies; based on student class schedule. Hours to be filled include 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. M-F during the 2019-20 academic year. Two evenings per semester and Sooner Saturday in April are also required for work events.
Salary Range: $10.00

Job Description

Serves as a representative of OU to prospective and current National Merit Scholars, high achieving students, and their families. Performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, providing tours of campus, answering phones, verbal and written correspondence with students and parents, speaking to large and small audiences and performing general office functions. 

 

Job Requirements

Required Education: Must be enrolled as an active undergraduate Honors College admitted student at the University of Oklahoma. Preference is given to  National Merit Scholars, Regents Scholars, and Institutional Nominees.   Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.


  • Must attach Fall 2019 oZONE class schedule.

  • Knowledge of campus and university services. 

  • Effective in a team environment. 

  • Organization and time management skills; ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail. 

  • Computer skills and comfort with doing data entry/updates. 

Certifications:


  •  Valid driver's license for work events. 

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Standard office environment. Must be able to give tours of campus (90 min. walking) and engage well with others. 
  • Lift boxes no heavier than 15 lbs. 
Department Preferences:

  • University student organization involvement preferred. 
  • Student should be available for work beginning the week before fall 2019 classes begin.
