Description: Job Summary The Student Accounts Technician provides support for cashiering operations. Key Responsibilities The Student Accounts Technician provides support for cashiering operations, including payroll, posting/counting/balancing monies, preparing bank deposits, sale of student and guest parking, maintenance and collection of parking permit machines, audits of satellite cashiering operations, and other back office functions utilizing the PeopleSoft Student Administration System, CASHNet POS system, T2 parking, and OTRS systems. The position also provides customer service to students, faculty, staff, and university departments. Analyzes student accounts and processes payments, deposits, and payment agreements, all in accordance with University policies and procedures. Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Education and Experience Equivalent to three years of progressively responsible financial record-keeping experience required. Bachelor's degree in Business or accounting preferred. Department Student Accounting Services Benefits Excellent benefits through CalPERS (health, vision, dental), tuition fee waiver, generous vacation and sick leave, and 14 paid holidays each year. Time Base Full-time temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date. Salary Negotiable to $3,300 per month based on experience and expertise. The salary range for this classification is $3,210 to $5,449 per month.
