Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field, and 2 years of the related experience.

Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade ND1 Wage minimum $15.41/hr, midpoint $20.75/hr, maximum $26.61/hr

Preferred Qualifications
  • Work experience in financial aid or student accounts in a post-secondary institution
  • Data entry experience
  • Knowledge of financial aid programs and regulations

Position Description

Provide quality front office customer service by performing a variety of student account functions, provide guidance and information on payment plan options and general student account inquiries from students, parents and other university community staff members.  This position would also work in collaboration with the Office of Financial Aid and the Office of the Registrar and other related offices at the University; ensure that functions performed are in compliance with federal, state and University policies and procedures. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service and responses to inquiries from students, parents or university community relating to a student's financial account either by telephone, email or in writing.
  •  Assist with current term collection of student fees.
  • Assist in the setup and processing of monthly payment plan forms for each semester and scan and maintain payment plan forms for each semester.
  • Assist in the setup and processing of Metro College contract estimated payments and back up for semester processing of payments.
  • Assist in the processing, adjustments and audit of the of the tuition remission benefits each semester.
  • Assist in the setup and processing of tuition reimbursement plans forms for each semester and scan to maintain payment plan forms for each semester.
  • Ability to explain and comply with University policies and procedures to students, parents or the university community both internal and external parties.
  • Process tuition waivers for third party entities.
  • Assist in the review and updating of the website pertaining to the payment plans for each semester.
  • Cross training for cashier and refunds.
  • Perform special projects or other duties as assigned by Bursar.
