UCLA Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB) offers a fellowship to 1 outstanding UCLA graduate student in the area of organismal plant biology. The Vavra fund was established to support graduate education in plant and microbial studies. This fellowship can also fund travel to scientific conferences where fellows can present research results on plant biology. A fellow can obtain the award for the summer or the academic year. These grants provide support for current UCLA graduate student's research or travel, special workshops, or courses at biological stations that are related to dissertation research in plant biology, ecology, or evolution.


Eligibility & Requirements

For incoming UCLA graduate students in the area of organismal plant biology.


Academic Level

Current Graduate Student.


Disciplines

Life Sciences. Health Sciences. Physiology, ecology, phylogenetic and genomic work, plant–animal coevolution, or conservation.
