Responsibilities
Venice Family Clinic (VFC) is a private, independent non-profit corporation, and the principal provider of quality primary health care services to underserved individuals in Los Angeles County’s Service Planning Area 5 (SPA 5). VFC is a 330e Community Health Center and a Federally Qualified Health Center. Each year we serve over 20,000 uninsured, low-income and homeless patients in over 90,000 patient visits.
The Grant Writer is responsible for securing funding for Venice Family Clinic’s operations, capital and endowment needs through prospect research, writing and timely submission of high-quality, compelling letters of inquiry, proposals and grant reports to new and existing private foundations and government funders. The Grant Writer will maintain a portfolio of funders and work as part of grants team that raises over $3 million annually for Venice Family Clinic. The position works closely with fundraising, communications and program staff, as well as private funders and government contacts.
