Job Description
Embry-Riddle Athletics is offering three (3) Sports Medicine Fellowships for the 2022-2023 academic year. Embry-Riddle Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 20 NCAA Division II sports, and is a proud member of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC).
Sports Medicine Fellows will:
Provide sport coverage as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine
Have the opportunity to practice and expand their clinical athletic training skills by obtaining hands-on experience under the guidance of the six full-time veteran staff athletic trainers.
Assist with the daily operation of the two on-campus athletic health care centers,
Assist with Team Physician clinical athletic training room rounds.
Work and communicate with coaches, strength and conditioning staff, and other members of the multi-disciplinary athletic health care team.
The internship is a 10 month position, compensated at a rate of $1,848 per month. Total compensation is $18,480 plus a University meal plan. Start date will be July 25, 2022, with the end of internship set for mid-May. Housing and health insurance are NOT included.
Florida licensing will be provided if applicable, and professional liability insurance is included.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Graduation from a CAATE accredited athletic training program
BOC Certified, or eligible.
