Job Description

The Robotics and Autonomous Systems Division (RASD) in the Aerospace, Transportation, and Advanced Systems (ATAS) Laboratory of the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) seeks a student for summer 2021. RASD researches advances in collaborative autonomy, distributed control, robotics, machine learning, unmanned and autonomous systems.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Student Assistant/Research Assistant

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics 
  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
  • 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA

Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience with C, C++, or Python
  • Task/team leadership experience
  • Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with Linux and open source tools
  • Configuration management tools
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas

Hours per Week

20 hours per week

U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

Clearance Type Required

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
