The UW Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy and Governance are seeking a Program Manager to support the design, implementation and all program operations for a suite of undergraduate initiatives and to provide academic program and graduating advising support for our doctoral program. This position works closely with our Student Affairs team and is particularly important as we expand our undergraduate offerings and strengthen efforts to diversify pathways into public policy education and careers.

This person engages students, faculty, staff, alumni, UW campus partners, and external stakeholders, to design and implement undergraduate initiatives, as well as provide ongoing support to our PhD program and doctoral students. The program manager’s time will be focused in three primary areas: (1) a university-wide public service academy for undergrads (local site of the Volcker Alliance’s NextGen initiative); (2) a summer Institute for historically under-represented rising college seniors interested in public policy (local site of the Public Policy & International Affairs program (PPIA)); and (3) academic advising and program support for the Evans School’s PhD in Public Policy & Management program. In this work, particularly the undergraduate initiatives, there is a focus on applying participatory processes and assuring organizational learning from these new endeavors.  In this way and others, this person plays a central role in helping assure the Evans School is actively living out its commitment to acting as an anti-racist organization.


Across the initiatives and programs listed below, this person will be responsible for:

(1) PPIA Junior Summer Institute program design and implementation (40% FTE)
