Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | This position is located in Rockville, MD at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG). The Program Manager, Center for Scholarships and Financial Resources manages and develops processes and procedures for all USG, Pathway and Partner scholarship programs, to include all elements related to scholarship application management, specialized scholarship programming, tracking, and reporting. Specialized scholarship programming includes Greater Achievement Scholars, USG Kendall Scholars, MD Promise Scholarship, ACES Pathways, ACES Champion, Healthcare Initiative, and the MC/USG Pathway Scholars. This position oversees and organizes MOU reporting and program obligations related to USG general and specialized scholarship programs. Covering two award cycles annually, the position develops and implements workflows and processes to efficiently administer more than 1,600 scholarship applications each academic year, and the oversight of more than 800 scholarship disbursements each academic year (more than 1 million dollars in scholarship funds each academic year). The incumbent is responsible for managing complex ongoing program requirements, communications plan and outreach planning. |
