Minimum Qualifications

High School or GED and six months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade NB Wage commensurate experience.

Position Description

This position (3 positions available) will be given the opportunity to experience the management, administration, and logistics of operating a 422,000 square foot student union.  Through a blend of supervision (building coverage), management (undergraduate supervision), event management, and administration (daily scheduling, policy and procedure writing) this position will encompass the union operations from a global view. 

Schedule Commitment:

The SAC Program Assistants (PAs)  each are required to hold 30 office contact hours each week, are responsible for facility management, event coordination and implementation, special projects, student management/training, and other assigned duties.  They will also hold a few hours on Monday for the weekly facilities staff planning meeting.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of the SAC with the training and development of student staff including: participation in regular meetings; revision of staff manuals; monitoring room set-ups including Audio-Visual equipment; and coordinating weekend scheduling
  • Assist with the delivery of event services including participate in regular event services meetings, follow up with client concerns, and collaborate with event services staff regarding client needs
  • Staff the facility during specifically identified weekends and for some special events
  • Attend campus administrative and organizational meetings, orientation programs, workshops as appropriate, and other duties as assigned
  • PA's will work as a group to ensure the SAC, SAC AV, and Welcome Week are staffed appropriately, and will work with full-time staff to ensure needs for all three are met.
